“The Gothic House.” Renovation of and additions to a highly unusual Gothic Revival / Queen Anne house in the Historic District. The 6,000 sf house was enlarged to 7,500 sf. Its lost Gothic detailing was recreated to recapture the character and coherence that the house had lost early in the 20th century. The rear addition provides balconies with varying degrees of privacy for the bedrooms. The existing gable at the attic level was mirrored, and the two gables linked with a highly figured bay window for a new master suite.
