Renovation of a 6,000 sf house built in 1886, located in an Historic District. The structure is a fine example of the mature Shingle Style, with an intact, masculine, Richardsonian interior that we have largely preserved. Alterations include restored front porch and steps, a new kitchen, family room and master suite. The new custom wood columns of the front porch feature polygonal capitals and plinths to follow the casual geometry of the old porch. The original oval-profile handrails were duplicated.
